'Nest 3' Joseph and Joseph
I’ve
been a fan of this companies products for a while. Sold in the most
Upmarket shops such as Selfridges (where, in fact, they have just
recently opened a new concession) and John Lewis, you know this stuff is
not just run-of-the-mill cookware. I am happy to report their products
are great, for a number of reasons. Firstly, Joseph and Joseph products
are
nice to look at, unlike that clashing coffee grinder pushed into a
corner; you’d want the colourful JJ products to take centre stage on
your worktop. Not
only are they designed with the aesthetics in mind, but a lot of
time is put into making them easy to use too. This ‘nest’ set I’ve been
using
has a rubber strip on the bottom to stop slipping (super useful for if
you’re trying to whisk and add something at the same time.) The smaller
bowl also has measurements printed on the inside, so you needn’t use and
wash-up a jug if you’ve got liquid ingredients to add. It’s got a
poring
spout to make it easier to pour into cake dishes or cupcake cases, and
handles to make gripping and tipping with cake-mixture-covered hands a
doddle.
The bright yellow lemon juicer is designed to retain lemon pips, and unlike countless others, this actually does the job (I’m talking maximum juice with no pips here. Which is actually cost effective. See, it’s saving you money already!) And the main plus-point of this set? Storability. Unlike cumbersome plastic bowls and Tupperware sets, all three slot inside each other, so they only take up the same space of the biggest bowl, which is awesome because we’re always pushed for space. Even the plastics feel nice, and all three are dishwasher safe. In the real world these are great, combining both style and functionality. I would definitely recommend this product to a friend. I'd also recommend it to just about anyone who is just starting out in the kitchen as you get three essential starter things in one easy to store kit. To sum up: beautiful and useable. Top job!
